The Stones Cry Out: Survivor-Led Movements Against Clergy Sexual Abuse in Baptist Contexts
Dr. Lucy Huh earned her Ph.D. from the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work at Baylor University, where her doctoral research focused on clergy sexual abuse and the resulting psychological and spiritual harm experienced by victims. She led the development of California SB 894 (2024) and has been involved in U.S. legislative efforts to criminalize clergy sexual abuse of adult congregants. Dr. Huh has presented her research across North America and internationally, including the University of Regensburg in Germany and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Her current scholarship includes two book chapters for a forthcoming volume by the University of Regensburg Press examining women and abuse in the Catholic Church. Her peer-reviewed articles are published in Critical Social Policy and the Journal of Religion & Spirituality in Social Work, and her public writing has appeared in outlets such as the National Catholic Reporter and America Magazine. Dr. Huh serves on the board of directors for Awake and The North American Association of Christians in Social Work (NACSW).
